You can setup your Android to automatically backup your settings to the Google account.  For this, you will of course need a Google account, if you haven’t already got one it can be setup here

To enable this feature, follow these steps:

1. Open the app list, and tap Settings

2. Scroll down and tap Backup & reset

3. Enable Backup my data

This data will then be backed up automatically.

To restore the data, when you add your Google account to a new device, the data that you  previously backed up for that Google account is restored to the device.

This is the data included in the backup & restore:

  • Google Calendar settings
  • Wi-Fi networks & passwords
  • Home screen wallpapers
  • Gmail settings
  • Apps installed through Google Play (backed up on the Play Store app)
  • Display settings (Brightness & Sleep)
  • Language & Input settings
  • Date & time
  • Third-party app settings & data (varies by app)
